Itinerary
Day 1 FLIGHT TO OSLO
Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The evening is yours to enjoy at leisure. Enjoy dinner this evening in your hotel.
Day 2 OSLO
Enjoy a morning tour of Oslo, including the famous Viking Ships, the Polar exploration ship Fram and the amazing Vigeland Sculpture Park. In the afternoon travel to Holmenkollen for panoramic views of the city and fjord. Dinner this evening at the hotel.
Day 3 OSLO – BERGEN
Depart for the mountain resort of Geilo. Enjoy a buffet lunch before continuing across the wild Hardanger Mountain Plateau. At Fossli, admire Norway’s highest waterfall, Voringsfoss, before continuing to the Hardanger Fjord. Enjoy a ferry crossing and continue via Voss and Dale to Bergen, the capital of Western Norway and gateway to the fjords. Dinner and overnight in Bergen.
Day 4 BERGEN – BALESTRAND
After breakfast, depart on a tour of Bergen, visiting the popular Fish and Flower Market and the Hanseatic Quarters. Afterwards enjoy a ride on the funicular railway to Mount Floien for breathtaking views of the city. After lunch, travel to Voss and view the enchanting Tvindefoss Waterfall. Continue by coach to Balestrand for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 BALESTRAND: A DAY IN THE FJORDS
After breakfast depart on a cruise along the splendid Sogn Fjord, the longest and deepest fjord in the world. Disembark in the village of Gudvangen. After lunch, continue via the picturesque villages of Flam and Aurland to Sogndal. Continue across the fjord by ferry to arrive back in Balestrand late afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Balestrand.
Day 6 BALESTRAND – GEIRANGER
After breakfast, depart by ferry for a one hour cruise along the fjord to Fjaerland. Continue by coach to the village of Skei and descend the beautiful Nord Fjord, visiting the world famous Briksdal Glacier. This afternoon cruise along the unforgettable Geiranger Fjord with its cascading waterfalls and narrow gorges. Disembark in the picturesque village of Geiranger and enjoy dinner and overnight in the hotel overlooking the Geiranger Fjord.
Day 7 GEIRANGER – OSLO
After breakfast, depart for the Grotli Mountains and Lom, then following Lake Vaga, travel through the majestic Gudbrands Valley, renowned for its old farmsteads. Continue on to the world-famous town of Lillehammer to enjoy lunch. Afterwards visit the Olympia Park and Lake Mjosa, arriving back in Oslo during the early evening. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.
Day 8 FLIGHT HOME
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
