Day 01 FLIGHT TO PERTH
Travel by scheduled flight to Perth. Your comfort and well being will be of primary concern throughout. Enjoy the in-flight meal, bar service and the latest feature films.
Day 02 PERTH
Arrive today in Australia's western-most city where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to relax or explore.
Day 03 PERTH
Morning tour of the charming Perth, renowned as one of the world's most beautiful cities. Visit the King's Park, Parliament House, the Perth Mint and the Indian Ocean beaches.
Day 04 PERTH
Enjoy the day at leisure to explore spectacular Western Australia.
Day 05 PERTH - CAIRNS
This morning, transfer to the airport for the short flight to Cairns. Remainder of the day at leisure to relax or explore the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef.
Day 06 GREAT BARRIER REEF
After breakfast, board a high-speed catamaran for an exciting excursion to the Great Barrier Reef. From the base on Green Island enjoy a glass bottom boat ride, a stroll on the walking trail to take in the rain forest, relax on the beaches, or just watch the fish and sea turtles swim past from the pier.
Day 07 CARINS
This morning ride through the rain forest canopy to experience the rain forest viewing waterfalls and fabulous scenery. In the afternoon, cruise the still waters of Hartley’s Lagoon, home to many of the regions surly saltwater crocodiles, before enjoying an Aussie BBQ.
Day 08 CAIRNS - AYERS ROCK
Today take a transfer to the airport for the short flight to Ayers Rock, the heart of the Australian Outback. Uluru or Ayers Rocks as it is affectionately called and the sandstone domes of the Olgas were created through the process of upheaval and erosion. Later take a tour of the Olgas and around the base of “the Rock,” learning about their significance to the Aboriginal culture before enjoying the beautiful sunset as Ayers Rock magically changes colour.
Day 09 AYERS ROCK - ALICE SPRINGS
This morning, travel across the vast Outback to the central city of Alice Springs. Upon arrival enjoy a sightseeing tour including the Old Telegraph Station, Anzac Hill, and the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Tonight you may “Take a Camel to Dinner” (optional) - enjoy a camel ride through the Outback to your dinner.
Day 10 ALICE SPRINGS
After breakfast, enjoy a “Dreamtime Tour” explaining the beliefs and customs of the Aboriginal people. Learn from members of the Walpiri tribe about the stories of creation and everyday activities of the Aboriginals and watch as various dreamtime stories are depicted in paintings. Tonight enjoy a delicious dinner in the bush.
Day 11 ALICE SPRINGS - ADELAIDE - BAROSSA VALLEY
Enjoy a morning at leisure before the short flight to Adelaide. Upon arrival, transfer to the Barossa Valley, one of Australia's most famed tourist destinations boasting breathtaking scenery.
Day 12 BAROSSA VALLEY
Today enjoy tours and winetasting in two of the Barossa Valley wineries. The Barossa Valley is Australia’s richest and best-known winemaking region producing some of the world’s finest wines.
Day 13 BAROSSA VALLEY – COONAWARRA
Travel through the southern Australian countryside, stopping at Naracoorte Caves National Park, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Learn about the extensive fossil deposits of southern Australia and view the ‘megafauna’ that once thrived in the area before continuing to Coonawarra, another rich wine-making region.
Day 14 COONAWARRA - MELBOURNE
Journey across the spectacular Great Ocean Road, one of the worlds most scenic drives. Pass through Port Campbell and discover the “12 Apostles,” a dramatic row of stone pillars rising from the ocean. Marvel at Loch Ard Gorge before arriving in Melbourne in the early evening.
Day 15 MELBOURNE
This morning embark on a sightseeing tour of Melbourne, visiting the Shrine of Remembrance, Parliament House, and the Fitzroy Royal Botanical Gardens. The remainder of the day is yours to explore Australia's most cosmopolitan city.
Day 16 MELBOURNE - CANBERRA
Today, enjoy the magnificent countryside and the breathtaking mountains en-route to Australia’s capital, Canberra. Upon arrival enjoy a sightseeing tour of this beautiful city, architecturally modelled after Washington, DC. Remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 17 CANBERRA - SYDNEY
This morning travel north to the great city of Sydney. Tonight enjoy dinner and spectacular view of the city from one of her spectacular revolving restaurants.
Day 18 SYDNEY
This morning, enjoy a city tour of Sydney, viewing highlights such as the Harbour Bridge, Chinatown and the Botanical Gardens. Embark on a guided tour of the Sydney Opera House and discover one of the world’s most fascinating architectural works. This evening enjoy an evening dinner cruise on Sydney Harbour before returning to the Sydney Opera House to enjoy a captivating performance.
Day 19 SYDNEY
After breakfast, visit the Koala Park to see the koalas in their natural habitat. Later, enjoy a fascinating opal presentation and learn how raw opals are processed from the dark mine shafts. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner while overlooking Darling Harbour.
Day 20 FLIGHT HOME
Time for some last minute shopping and sightseeing before the transfer to the airport for the return flight home.
