If your time is tight, this one has the highlights! Travel from Moscow to Beijing via Ulaanbaatar, and experience the best of these three countries along the way. Thunder across Central Siberia, circumnavigate the shores of Lake Baikal, spend time in the Ger Camps of Mongolia and arrive in Beijing via the Great Wall. Day 1:Arrival in Moscow! We whisk you by car directly to your hotel-your first night in Moscow. Day 2:After breakfast your local expert will meet you at the hotel, to whisk you round the highlights. This is using public transport to familiarise you with the city centre and help smooth your path… at least until lunchtime! Afternoon and evening free to explore Day 3: A full free day-for you to pack in the rest! Have you been to Pushkin Square? “The” place to meet friends or Izmailovsky Flea market for souvenirs? Mid-evening we take you to your waiting train-to Siberia! Days 4 - 6:On board the Trans-Mongolian Express, the train makes several unscheduled stops allowing you only time to grab stocks for your larder and drinks cabinet. Day 7:On board the Trans-Mongolian express circumnavigating the shores of Lake Baikal. Day 8: Early-morning arrival into Outer Mongolia! Shower, breakfast, transfer to a Mongolian Ger Camp, with accommodation in traditional Mongolian wood-framed felt tents (gers). The Mongolian steppes are outside your new home-go and explore! Lunch and Supper are included (yes, there are vegetarian options too). Day 9:Local activities are available for example Horse-riding (for a small local charge) with local herdsmen. Or walk, relax, or sometimes play traditional Mongolian sports? Weather permitting the Mongolian Winter (November-March) is very harsh. As the nearest bar or restaurant is 50km away, all meals will be provided for your stay at the Ger Camp. Day 10:Back to Ulaanbaatar. Internet cafes, bars, restaurants and nightclubs are waiting for you to let your hair down Mongolian style. Overnight 3* Hotel.
Day 11:Transfer to your departing Beijing bound train this morning.Midnight border crossing and onwards into China!.
