Athens is the capital of Greece and one of the most famous cities in the world, named after goddess Athena. Modern Athens is a bustling cosmopolitan metropolis, home to some 3.7 million people. The Athens metropolitan area is currently growing both northwards and eastwards across Attica and it constitutes the dominant center of economic, financial, industrial, cultural and political life in Greece today. Many of these cultural landmarks were renovated ahead of the 2004 Olympic Games.

The hotel offers a very good standard of accommodation in the centre of Athens, and is ideally located in one of the greener neighbourhoods of the city and in close proximity to all places of interest.

The hotel is a 1970's concrete building of a very common style found in the Athenian inner city.

The large City Plaza restaurant has an elegant and cosmopolitan air about it, and offers a varied menu of traditional Greek as well as international tastes. There is a bar, a cafeteria lounge bar, and an amazing roof garden bar that offers stunning views of the Acropolis and Lycabettus hill (open May to October).
